SECRETARY OF STATE鈥橲 OFFICE INITIATES THE POST-ELECTION AUDIT PROCESS

TOPEKA 鈥� In accordance with K.S.A. and K.A.R. , the Office of the Secretary of State will conduct the random selection of races to be audited from the 2022 general election. The selection will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in the Memorial Hall Auditorium in Topeka. This event is open to the public and media.
鈥淧ost-election audits promote election transparency and provide verification of election results,鈥� said Secretary Schwab. 鈥淪ince 2019, over 400 post-election audits have been conducted and every county has successfully passed the required audit. I encourage my fellow Kansans to observe the post-election audit process for this year鈥檚 general election.鈥�
Following the Secretary of State鈥檚 random selection, each of the 105 麻豆影院 counties will begin a manual count of ballots for the races selected for audit to ensure the vote total matches the tabulator count.
