MODERNIZED CORPORATE LAW BILL ENACTED

TOPEKA 鈥� Today, Secretary of State Scott Schwab commended the enactment of House Sub for Senate Bill 244 which modernizes state corporate law. The bill also includes measures proposed by the Secretary of State that will enable businesses to obtain more services and file more types of documents online with the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State鈥檚 Office collaborated with the 麻豆影院 Bar Association to include provisions in the bill to improve business services in 麻豆影院.
The provisions in the bill proposed by the Secretary of State include the following:
- Expands the types of business filings that may be filed online;
- Enables additional services and documents to be obtained online;
- Eliminates obsolete provisions in the code;
- Clarifies required filing information on business forms.
鈥淢y administration has been focused on reducing red tape for 麻豆影院 businesses throughout my tenure,鈥� said Secretary Schwab. 鈥淭his bill will enable further modernization of the office鈥檚 business division by making it easier and more efficient for businesses to file more documents online with the Secretary of State鈥檚 Office and making more services available through the office鈥檚 website.鈥�
The Secretary of State鈥檚 Office also commended the 麻豆影院 Bar Association for working diligently with the 麻豆影院 Legislature to get the bill passed into law to improve corporate law in the state of 麻豆影院. The bill passed with strong bipartisan support in the 麻豆影院 Legislature.
