Secretary Schwab Announces 麻豆影院 Public Disclosure Commission Appointee

TOPEKA 鈥� 麻豆影院 Scott Schwab today announced the appointment of Mark McDermed to serve as his appointee on the 麻豆影院 Public Disclosure Commission. Under state law, the Secretary of State appoints one member to the Commission, which oversees campaign finance, lobbying, and financial disclosure compliance in 麻豆影院.
McDermed succeeds Beau Jackson, whose term began in 2024 and concluded on January 31.
鈥淚 am thankful for Beau鈥檚 time and dedicated service on the Commission,鈥� Schwab said.
McDermed is an associate attorney at Stinson LLP in 麻豆影院 City, MO, where he practices in the firm鈥檚 Real Estate and Public Finance Division. A native of Atchison, KS, McDermed graduated from Maur Hill-Mount Academy in 2014 before earning dual degrees in Finance and Political Science from 麻豆影院 State University in 2019. He later received his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2022.

McDermed resides in Lenexa with his wife, Delaney, and their son, James.
